These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Oil4Homes website and membership of our heating oil buying service. By registering as a member, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About Oil4Homes
Oil4Homes is a buying club that helps members obtain competitive prices for domestic heating oil by combining orders from multiple households and negotiating with independent heating oil suppliers.
Oil4Homes is not a fuel supplier and does not deliver heating oil.
2. Membership
Membership is free unless otherwise stated.
Members must:
Be aged 18 or over.
Provide accurate contact information.
Update their details if they change.
Own or be authorised to purchase heating oil for the property registered.
Oil4Homes reserves the right to refuse or cancel membership where necessary.
3. Buying Rounds
From time to time, Oil4Homes will organise buying rounds.
Participation is voluntary.
Submitting your interest in a buying round does not guarantee that an order will be placed.
Oil4Homes will seek quotations from one or more suppliers and notify members of the agreed price.
4. Placing an Order
Once you confirm an order:
You agree to purchase the quantity requested.
The supplier may contact you to arrange payment and delivery.
You agree to provide accurate delivery information.
Orders cannot always be amended or cancelled once they have been submitted to the supplier.
5. Prices
Oil prices fluctuate daily.
Oil4Homes cannot guarantee the lowest market price.
Our objective is to negotiate competitive prices for members through collective purchasing.
Prices offered during a buying round are valid only for that buying round.
6. Delivery
Heating oil is delivered by the selected supplier.
Delivery dates are determined by the supplier.
Oil4Homes accepts no responsibility for delivery delays caused by:
Weather
Traffic
Operational issues
Supplier scheduling
Circumstances beyond reasonable control
7. Member Responsibilities
Members are responsible for:
Ordering an appropriate quantity of oil.
Ensuring safe access to their oil tank.
Providing accurate delivery instructions.
Ensuring sufficient space is available in the tank.
Checking that their tank is suitable for delivery.
Oil4Homes accepts no responsibility for inaccurate information supplied by members.
8. Payment
Payment arrangements will be confirmed during each buying round.
Where payment is made directly to the supplier, the supplier’s payment terms will apply.
Where Oil4Homes collects payment on behalf of a supplier, members agree to make payment within the stated timescales.
Failure to pay may result in cancellation of an order or suspension of membership.
9. Limitation of Liability
Oil4Homes acts solely as an intermediary between members and heating oil suppliers.
We are not responsible for:
Fuel quality
Delivery performance
Supplier errors
Damage caused during delivery
Pricing changes after an order has been confirmed
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation would be unlawful.
10. Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Member information will only be shared with suppliers where necessary to fulfil an order.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on the Oil4Homes website, including logos, text and graphics, remains the property of Oil4Homes unless otherwise stated.
12. Website Availability
We aim to keep the website available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
We may suspend or update the website without notice.
13. Changes to These Terms
Oil4Homes may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The latest version will always be published on our website.
14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
